Golf Outing Sponsorship and Foursomes Wanted

Camp Big Sky Announces New Name, Logo and Website

Fulton County, Ill- Camp Big Sky (formerly Why Now Now?, Inc.) is proud to announce its new name and brand, as well as launch its new website - www.CampBigSky.org. These new changes are in time for the start of the 2008 camping season, which began April 1 and will continue through October 30.

Camp Big Sky is located on 102 acres in North-Eastern Fulton County, approximately 45 minutes west of Peoria, on Route 116. The organization was first incorporated in May 2000, and has since hosted several campers and their families, all while working on an ongoing conservation effort to sustain and expand the wildlife habitat, which includes native hardwood timber, wetland, grassland pasture and two large lakes. Operating under a special use permit granted by Fulton County, Camp Big Sky is a 501(c)(3) charitable, not-for-profit organization, governed by a community based board of directors, with all activities supervised by staff and volunteers.

The mission of Camp Big Sky is to provide accessible fishing, camping, boating and other related outdoor experiences to children and adults with disabilities. Just some of the Camp's facilities and accommodations include a wheelchair accessible floating dock, boats and roofed piers; camper, cabin and platform tent with wrap-around porch; interpretive nature trail and two pavilions for picnicking. Activities include Special Olympics' regulation sized bocce ball court, kite flying, arts, crafts and more.
